Wired Printer Connection Setup

There are two ways to connect your printer. It can be wired directly to the universal serial bus port (USB) to your computer or wirelessly if you are using a wireless router. Whatever type of connection it is the first thing that you need to check is if the printer is communicating properly with your computer. If you cannot print using your printer that means that the computer and printer is not talking to each other. Please check the manual to see if you have the proper connection. It is important that you check the cable connections first. Make sure that they are connected snugly. You can also try using a different universal serial bus port (USB). Just to be same use the USB port at the back of your tower as it supplies more power than the ones at the front. Your printer will come with a compact disk (CD) that should be its driver. Check the light indicator on your printer too. Each light green or red, solid or blinking signifies the status of your printer. Mostly if the power is solid red or blinking red that mean that there is something wrong with the printer itself.

Wireless Printer Connection Setup

There are occasions that multiple computers utilize the printer. Nowadays more and more people are using their laptop connecting to the internet wirelessly where every it are working and occasionally needs to print something out. Wireless printer setup is very convenient because you donꊰ have to move around and no cables are lying on the floor. Wireless printer is special because they have their own wireless card and own IP address. They communicate directly to the network just like when it is directly wired. Same principle applies to this wireless printer, the driver and setup should be correct in order to work. The IP address should be in range with the network in order to be seen and use by other computer.

Selecting the best printer for you will depend on your need and how much you are willing to pay. Wired or wireless printer both needs a working driver in order to work properly. One of the best ways to test your printer is to print from all sorts of program like Microsoft word documents, PDF files etc. Before setting up the printer it is important to make sure that your computer is protected in all sorts of malicious program in order to avoid manual virus and spyware removal.
